Pawfect Pantry FAQ'S
Your Questions Answered
-
Do I need to ask my vet before I give my dog Pawfect Pantry?Absolutely! We prefer it that way. While various veterinarians may debate different food trends, the consensus is that freshly made, nutritionally-balanced food is excellent for dogs. Our recipes are carefully designed to fully replace a standard diet, and many dogs with various health concerns thrive on our meals.
-
Is fresh food the same as wet food? No, fresh food is cooked gently to remove pathogens while preserving the integrity of our human-grade food. We believe in the health benefits of fresh food for pets, unlike many commercial pet foods. We've seen firsthand the positive impact of feeding fresh to our own dogs. Our goal is simple: to provide real all-natural, convenient dog food.

How long should I wait for the transition of my dog’s new diet? For a smooth transition, it is generally recommended to allow 10 days when transitioning from the old diet to the new Pawfect Pantry diet. However, it doesn't mean you can't opt for a shorter transition period, such as 5 days, if your dog seems comfortable with it. Pay attention to your dog's reaction to the new food as they will provide valuable cues. If they show disinterest or reluctance in eating it, it's a clear indication that they may need more time to adjust. Ultimately, your dog's feedback will guide you in determining the best pace for transitioning to the new diet.
-
Do I need to cook the food before serving? Our food comes ready-to-serve after you carefully thaw it from the freezer (recommended 12 hours fridge thaw). You can conveniently serve it straight from the fridge. However, if your dog prefers warm food, you can add a touch of hot water to provide that comforting temperature. So whether your pet enjoys a chilled meal or a warm one, our food is designed to meet their preferences with ease.
-
Do I need to keep my dog's food refrigereted?Absolutely! We prepare our food with the highest level of care and without the use of any preservatives, ensuring it stays fresh and nutrient-rich. To keep it fresh, we suggest storing the food in the freezer and gently defrosting it overnight for consumption the following day. Once defrosted, the food can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days with unopen pack and up to 4 days once opened. This practice helps maintain the food's taste, texture, and nutritional content. Adhering to these instructions will guarantee that your pet enjoys the best possible meal while keeping the food safe and tasty.
-
What if I am on vacation? If you prefer to bring your food along while traveling and find yourself running low, you can conveniently place an expedited order to be delivered to your home before you leave. When traveling with our fresh food, it is recommended to store it in an insulated container or tote, along with a few ice packs. Or, if you wish to skip shippment and resume when you return we can definitly arrange that for you. Please contact us at Contact@pawfect-pantry.com to make sure you are taken care of.
-
If my food arrives and I am not home?Rest assured that it is perfectly safe to refreeze and feed the packs as long as you have at least one that is partially frozen and the remaining packs are kept at a very cold temperature. This ensures that the food maintains its freshness and quality. So go ahead and confidently refreeze the packs, knowing that they will still provide optimal nutrition for your pet.

How does delivery works? To ensure the quality and freshness of the food, we currently offer local delivery. During the checkout process, we kindly request that you provide the best delivery time. This helps us ensure that the food doesn't sit outside your front door for an extended period, allowing you to keep your dog's food frozen and in optimal condition.
